TX2 robots are part of Stäubli’s industrial robots range. The family covers a wide variety of payloads and reaches, from compact models for small cells to heavy-payload variants for large-scale operations. Designed for speed, precision, and reliability, TX2 robots support applications such as material handling, assembly, loading and unloading, inspection, and packaging. For high-speed assembly and pick-and-place automation, Stäubli also offers TS2 SCARA robots.

What to know about TX2 robots?

A 6‑axis robot is an articulated industrial robot with six rotational joints, allowing full spatial freedom for complex trajectories, orientation control and multi‑plane motion. This makes it ideal for tasks requiring dexterity, precision and flexible positioning.

Depending on the model and variant for demanding applications, TX2 6‑axis robots are used in a wide variety of operation, including: assembly, machine tending, cutting (laser, plasma...), picking, packing, palletizing, testing...

    All TX2 robot models feature a fully encapsulated arm, smooth surfaces, and IP67 protection for operation in harsh, humid or sensitive environments. Specific robot options are available for applications such as:

      Stäubli TX2 robots integrate advanced safety features through the CS9 controller, which provides modular safety up to SIL3 / PL e. The available safety functions include:

      • SafeSpeed – limits robot speed in monitored zones to enable safe human–robot collaboration.
      • SafeStop – ensures controlled, safety‑certified robot stops (Stop 0 / Stop 1) depending on the application. 
      • SafeZone – defines safe or restricted work zones for speed, position or orientation monitoring. 
      • SafeTool – monitors the position and configuration of the tool or end‑effector.

      These functions make TX2 robots capable of high‑performance, collaborative‑ready operation, enabling safe and compact cell layouts without compromising productivity.

      Both the TX2 6‑axis and TS2 SCARA ranges use Stäubli’s CS9 controller family, ensuring consistent integration and connectivity.  TX2‑40, TX2‑60 and TX2‑90 models are paired with the compact CS9 LP; the TX2‑140 and TX2‑160 use the more powerful CS9 MP; and the high‑payload TX2‑200 operates with the CS9 HP controller.
