AWARD

Revolutionizing Die Casting with Stäubli multi-couplings

September 12, 2024

Innovation Award

Stäubli’s multi-couplings system wins innovation award in China

WE WON! Our dynamic multi-coupling system won the "2024 Die Casting Innovative Products and Technologies" award in China! This award, presented by the China Foundry Productivity Promotion Center and the Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, recognizes the most advanced innovations and technologies in the die-casting industry.

Staubli's user-centric multi-coupling system solves the increasing frustrations in die-casting, particularly as casting become larger and molds become heavier (which in turn makes mold disassembly and replacement more complex, labor-intensive, and an all-around frustration point for our customer's workflows).

With our Multi-Connection's proprietary advanced technology, we replace manual connections with premium automated solutions, efficiently managing various energy circuits such as oil, heat, water, point-cooling, and hydraulics. Hundreds of circuits can be fully automated, significantly improving mold change efficiency compared to manual operations.

This technological innovation not only simplifies processes but also enhances economic efficiency. For instance, CHERY, a major player in the automotive industry, applied the MCS technology for the production of longitudinal beams and wheel covers on the iCAR 03 model. By integrating this technology into a 3500T die-casting production line, CHERY reduced mold change time from hours to just one second, eliminating the risk of misconnection and significantly boosting economic efficiency.

This award is a testament to Stäubli's commitment to providing innovative, high-quality solutions to our customers.
