ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with the division management, sales, end users, and system integrators to provide expert support. This may be in the form of programming support, cycle optimization or training.
• Travel onsite to customer locations to perform programming services across North America. 
• Propose concept and solution adapted to our robot range with different technologies (vision, conveyor tracking, safety…).
• Facilitate training to our customers and partners.
• Report daily in our CRM system to track each projects progress.  A technical report will be written at the end of each service detailing the actions while onsite.
• Communicate frequently with customers to ensure quality service is being applied.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

Education:

• BS degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Associate degree with automation work experience.

Experience:

• Three years automation and / or robotics experience preferred.

Travel:

• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Valid passport or capability to get a passport.
• Willing and able to undertake travel up to 75% of the time.

• Provide Stäubli customers with in-house or on-site repair, troubleshooting, maintenance and programming services for Stäubli robots on an emergency or 24/7 basis.

• Document Stäubli robot and related equipment performance and report results for the purpose of troubleshooting, repairing, and restarting the system.
• Coordinate activities, update status and availability with Local Manager.
• Completion of detailed Field Service reports for each customer call and documentation of service interventions in CRM database.
• Coordinate responsibilities, activities, and schedule with Local Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and proper billing.
• Communicate frequently with customer to ensure that all expectations are being met.
• Return of parts issued for the service call but not purchased by the customer, or defective parts replaced under normal service call or warranty.

Requirements & Skills:

Education:

• Minimum Associate degree with equivalent technical education and experience

Experience:

• Minimum of two years automation and / or technical service experience preferred but will consider a recent graduate from an accredited university.
• Electrical / Mechanical troubleshooting, teardown and repair experience
• Ability to learn structured text programming language.

Summary

Responsible for the research, design, and successful implementation of Engineered to Order (ETO) products for Staubli Electrical Connectors.  Duties will include the development and design of new products including insulated busway, cable harness systems, modifications of standard product(s), new custom design(s) and novel application of standard product(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gathering and/or providing relevant technical information from and to the customer with the help of outside sales or directly to acquire or deliver all data needed for the proper product utilization or product design.
• Develop and design new products, if necessary, by engaging all internal resources at Staubli, to ensure proper product functionality in its intended application(s).
• Serve as technical consultant for inside and outside sales staff and customers of Staubli.
• Promotion of Staubli products at the inbound customer contact level.
• Serve as technical consultant for internal manufacturing, manufacturing partners and QC with respect to production and/or assembly of new developed or existing products.
• Read and interpret international and national standards relevant to specific applications to ensure compliance of new and existing product designs.
• Perform GD&T, DFM/DFA and DFMEA analysis of newly designed or modified products.
• Support Staubli internal Test Lab with development of type test protocols and proof of concept test protocols and fixtures/apparatus, as needed.
• Serve as a trainer in products and applications for Staubli personnel or customers as requested by management.
• Effectively utilize time to efficiently complete various project design at the same time and perform administrative duties, such as weekly meetings, assisting customer’s technical questions, first time builds, and questions from internal and external vendors.
• Provide guidance to Staubli marketing with respect to new or existing products.
• Minimum of 10% travel required.

Qualifications

Summary

The Project Manager Renewable Energy (RE) will be primarily focused on the project planning, execution, and reporting of both development and product upgrade projects for the Renewable Energy business segment.  The Project Manager RE will be the principal authority for project timeline, milestone definition, progress tracking and customer notifications via Field Sales Engineers (FSE), Product Management, and Business Development Managers (BDM).  The project Manager will work across multiple departments to plan Projects, develop scope/budget/timelines, and track/execute the project plan through regular meetings and reporting cycles.  The Project Manager RE’s performance will be judged by how well they keep their projects on scope, on time, and on budget, as well as how they handle getting projects back on track when things go wrong or unforeseen issues arise.

The Product Manager RE will have the challenge of interfacing with RE-dedicated resources, such as Engineering and Sales, as well as matrix-allocated resources such as Quality and Operations.  The Product Manager RE will report directly to the Head of Project Management for North America.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Project scope development with the aid of the Sales Manager RE, Product Management, and Engineering.
• Managing all high complexity or high value RE projects via Gantt Chart applications such as MS Project, Monday.com, or Genius.
• Coordination of multiple departments as required for project kick-off, work packet development and project timeline, execution, closing, and lessons learned.
• Regular reporting and dashboarding of projects for review by management and relevant team members.
• Develop tracking system for all projects, including projects identified, completed, lost and failure mode.
• Maintain database including application type, market segment and geographical regions (Sales Districts).
• Utilize the Staubli Stage Gate Process for project flow and advancement.  Fill out, file, and if needed create project-related forms and documents to formally record project vitals and gain sign-off for stage completion.
• Strong interpersonal skills and opportunity identification.
• Work with Regional Managers and Specialists for strategy coordination.
• Submit required paperwork on required dates, including call reports and expense reports.

Summary

Responsible for supporting the Customer Service team in providing pricing on new and renewal quotes which do not have a standard price in SAP.

Responsible for generating spreadsheets for EtO items and coordinating getting material costs and lead times from third party suppliers.

Responsible for monitoring and following up on open quotations to ensure they are returned to customers in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide pricing and/or create quotes using SAP, Price Lists, third party quotations and/or configurators.
• Work in partnership with Field Sales Engineers, Customer Service, Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing as needed, to ensure accurate quotes and lead times for quoting.
• Consistently demonstrate superior customer service by combining system, sales, and product knowledge and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations.
• Build estimates and prices for EtO projects at a level that keeps our products competitive and maximizes profit.
• Follow up on quotations and modify quotes as necessary.
• Create and maintain the open quotation priority list daily and escalate to manager as necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement on all related processes to ensure standardization and simplification.

Summary

Responsible for supporting Test Department with the development of Engineered to Order (ETO) products for Stäubli.  Duties will include the testing and validation of new products including modifications of standard product(s), new custom design(s) and novel application of standard product(s).

Primary focus on Industrial and Alternative Energy products, which includes solutions in the Photovoltaic, Energy Storage, BOS Cabling Solutions, Power Transmission and Distribution, Modular and Circular Connector and Automated Charging Markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Acquisition, interpretation, and presentation of test data into oral and formal written reports and/or graphical charts.
  
• Preparation, coordination & execution of development & type tests as well as damage analyses not limited to the following areas:
• Electrical (high current, high voltage, insulation resistance, partial discharge & high frequency), Mechanical (tension/compression & cyclic), Visual (microscope, camera, endoscope), Environment (climatic, salt spray, IP, impact / drop test, alternating bending load, vibration & harmful gas), Thermal measurements (thermocouples, RTDs, & Thermal imaging)
• Reads and interpret applicable industry standards.
• Assembles and maintains novel fixtures, automation, and test setups.
• Operate and maintain automation and custom test programming for equipment interaction using PLCs and/or LabVIEW.
• Provide feedback to engineering regarding mechanical and electrical design feedback, optimization, and end-user safety.
