The automation of processes is no longer a vision of the future, but a necessary measure for optimizing production processes and reducing operating costs. And this is precisely what the Swiss company V-ZUG attaches great importance to. The manufacturer of high-quality household appliances is currently undergoing a transformation process to optimize production and logistics and increase production capacity while reducing the footprint of the Zug site by half.
The Stäubli PF6 transport platform takes over the automated material supply of a punching and laser machine at V-Zug. Thanks to the omnidirectional drive, it is possible to navigate precisely and efficiently through the confined storage and production areas, thus ensuring safe transportation of the sheet metal parts. An additional special safety feature ensures that the PF6 can only enter particularly narrow areas without escape routes after safety clearance has been given at the touch of a button.
These and other features make a decisive contribution to minimizing the risk of accidents and at the same time increase productivity and efficiency, helping V-Zug to achieve its ambitious goals.
