Stäubli Personal Data Protection Policy – Recruitment

The Stäubli Personal Data Protection Policy - Recruitment provides information about how STÄUBLI collects, stores and processes personal data when you apply to a position within the STÄUBLI Group, via the “Open positions” section on the website (staubli.com), through social media or dedicated job platforms and via the forms and Applicant questionnaires.

1 - Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

This web page for recruitment and the recruitment system are under the responsibility of STÄUBLI INTERNATIONAL AG, a company registered in Switzerland under number CHE-107.991.617, Poststrasse 5, 8808 Pfäffikon or the legal entity of STÄUBLI Group to which you are applying, referred hereinafter “STÄUBLI” or “STÄUBLI Group”.

2 - What personal data do we collect and for which purposes?

STÄUBLI will collect, store, process personal data in order to communicate with you during the recruitment process (notably through telephone, e-mail, sms and/or instant messaging, etc.), to assess your skills and suitability for an open position, to manage the Applicants database and to inform you about new open positions if you agreed to be contacted in such case.

  • Personal data you provide us with:
    When you apply to a position you may provide personal information to STÄUBLI such as: last name, first name, e-mail address, postal address, other contact details including mobile phone numbers, employment history and qualifications (university and professional), gender, nationality and information about your right to work in the country that you have applied to work in (work permit); and other information including (among others) the information contained in your CV and in the cover letter detailing the reasons for your application.
    In our online forms, mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. If you do not answer the mandatory fields, we will be unable to process your application.

  • Personal data received by others
    STÄUBLI may also receive your application (and therefore personal information as detailed above) through an external recruitment agency or by a recommendation from your professional network. In such case, your application will be processed only if you confirm your consent and register into the recruitment platform.
    In any circumstances, STÄUBLI is not collecting or processing sensitive personal data (i.e.: racial origin, ethnicity, political, philosophical or religious opinion, health or sexual preferences) to select an Applicant unless it is required by law.

  • Personal data collected by the platform SmartRecruiter:
    Connection data: IP address, log, web pages visited. These data are not processed by Stäubli.

3 - How long is your data kept?

Unless you request its erasure, your personal data will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the time we were last in contact.

After this period, your data will be erased unless it is necessary to keep it longer to comply with legal requirements, to retain evidence during the applicable limitation periods, for the exercise of Stäubli’s rights in the event of litigation or legal action.

4 - With whom do we share your personal data?

We will not sell or share Applicants' personal data to third parties that are not involved in the recruitment process.

Recipients of your personal data will be the teams in charge of the department for which the position is opened (Human Resources, Managers). Your personal data may also be shared with external recruitment agency. Your personal data may also be transmitted to the competent authorities, at their request, or to comply with other legal obligations to which Stäubli may be subject.

The management system for our recruitment process and CV database is hosted within the European Union. Applicants residing outside the European Union must be informed that processing the data associated with this hosting will be done in accordance with applicable European data protection regulation.

5 - Your Rights

In accordance with the applicable data protection legislation, you have the right to access, correct, or update your personal data. In some cases, you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data or restriction of its use. You can unsubscribe from job alerts at any time by contacting us or clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any job-alert e-mails.

In order for us to process your request, you must accompany this letter or email with the elements required to identify you. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the competent supervisory authority responsible for the protection of personal data.

To exercise this right, you must provide elements required to identify you and state the purpose of your request by writing to one of the following addresses:

Children

The Platforms are not directed at anyone under the age of 16, nor do we collect any personal information from anyone who we know to be under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, you should not use the platform and should not submit any personal information to us.

6 - Security and Confidentiality

Stäubli is committed to protecting your personal data and maintaining its quality, integrity, and confidentiality. Stäubli therefore allows access to your personal data solely to employees who need to consult it as part of their roles. These employees are subject to confidentiality agreements concerning processed personal data and are aware of the risks and obligations related to processing personal data. Stäubli has also implemented physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards that comply with the legal requirements in place to protect your personal data.
