At the 2020 China Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Industry Alliance Annual Conference in December in Shanghai, the Stäubli CombiTac modular connectorsystem won the 2019-2020 China Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Quality Supply Chain Award".

The Stäubli CombiTac modular connector system has been awarded thanks to its outstanding performances in the application of AGV charging. As a council member of the alliance, Stäubli shared its experience and best practices on efficient charging connections for AGV during the industry session.

In the course of the increasing automation and IT integration in industrial manufacturing, AGVs are playing an increasingly important role in improving production efficiency. Stäubli has developed the modular CombiTac connector system as an AGV charging solution based on more than 50 years of experience in the field of electrical connections. The CombiTac system perfectly meets the requirements for efficient, reliable and durable charging connection.
The CombiTac system features a modular design, which allows to integrate various connection types such as power, signal, data, fluid, pneumatic, thermocouple, optical fiber – all in one compact frame or housing. Thanks to the proven MULTILAM technology, CombiTac can achieve up to 100,000 mating cycles and high power over 300 A without degradation of the performance. Further advantages of MULITLAM technology in the versatile CombiTac system are low contact resistance as well as shock and vibration resistance.
The modular structure allows for easy reconfigurations and maintenance and therefore perfectly fits the application of AGV charging.
