Staubli (UK) Ltd are part of the Staubli Group and our Electrical Connector division manufactures innovative electrical connection solutions which are used in a variety of industries including E-Mobility, Solar, Power Transmission, Test and Measure, Rail, Medical and more.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Electrical Connectors Sales team on a permanent basis being responsible and accountable for the sales and growth of the E-Mobility market, this role will include:

  • Build and maintain close relationships with existing key accounts to develop sales
  • Create new accounts including Tier 1 and OEMs to achieve market leadership within the defined market sector for Staubli E-Mobility business
  • Develop and strengthen relationship with automotive manufacturers, Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment manufacturers/suppliers (EVSE’s), port operators and mining companies to value sell electrification products
  • Work alongside the existing team to identify and develop potential markets/Customers through incoming leads
  • Work with the Local Divisional Director and Head of Sales to set and monitor the Annual Revenue and Sales budgets for the team
  • Ensure that all relevant activities relating to customer communication are recorded in CRM for effective activity planning
  • Develop and maintain sales pipeline 

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum requirement of HNC in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years external Sales experience
  • Previous experience of selling direct into the Automotive market
  • Experience of selling solutions to the End User and OEM sectors ideally from an ‘added value’ approach by identifying problems and offering either standard or specifically designed solutions
  • Ability to undertake Account Management and develop new Customers
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
