The immense effort that went into the Stäubli presentation at Automatica 2018 was well worth it, as the exhibition stand proved to be a major crowd puller.
The highlight at the Stäubli booth with a tremendous interest was the digitally networked Smart Production demo complete with MRC applications and the mobile robot systems that are now ready for series production. Trade visitors displayed their admiration for the demo smart production line where tool change systems for robots were being produced to individual specification.
The interplay of digitally networked, self-optimizing components created a real wow effect among those witnessing it live. For most of them, Industry 4.0 was becoming a reality for the first time. And, of course, the trade visitors immediately recognized the enormous potential for improved production in their own individual circumstances.
One of the key messages to the trade at Automatica was that this change can already be confidently embarked on with Stäubli products such as the TX2 series (the fastest of all safe robots on the market), the HelMo mobile robot systems and the brand new TS2 SCARAs. Stäubli is the partner of choice for production methods of the future.
Another highlight at the booth was the world premiere of the SCARA TS2 series, with which Stäubli is entering an unprecedented performance class.
Stäubli Fluid Connectors showcased the complete range of tool change systems for robots for the first time. MPS Complete, MPS Modular and MPS Customized are the result of intensive development work and offer three different options for the optimum tool change system across the full spectrum of production tasks.
Stäubli Electrical Connectors presented connectors for welding applications as an innovative solution for robot cabling. RobiFix-MINI is exceptionally compact and lightweight which makes it ideal for intricate applications and for the new 10kHz technology. The multipole docking line connectors facilitate durable electrical connections in multi-couplings with plug cycles of up to one million and more. The modular CombiTac system permits maximum flexibility in the creation of application-specific interfaces.
