Stäubli to showcase advanced PV and energy storage solutions at SNEC 2026

From June 3 to 5, 2026, the 19th (2026) SNEC International Conference & Exhibition on Solar Photovoltaics, Smart Energy, Energy Storage and Battery Technology & Equipment will take place at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center.

Stäubli will present its latest innovation at Booth E660 in Hall 8.2, focusing on electrical connection and automation solutions for renewable energy applications. Visitors will discover technologies designed to enhance the efficiency, safety, and reliability of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems.

An trusted industry benchmark: Reliable connections for PV systems

Since introducing its first PV connector in 1996, Stäubli has built over three decades of experience in the photovoltaic industry. Today, its solutions are widely recognized for their consistent quality and long-term reliability in both PV and energy storage applications.

In PV power plants, small details can have a significant impact on overall profitability. The Original MC4 connector series incorporates proven MULTILAM contact technology, enabling low contact resistance. This helps reduce power losses and minimize the risk of system downtime.

At SNEC 2026, visitors can experience the Original MC4 connector product portfolio first-hand, along with their certified installation tools. Solutions designed to ensure reliable and efficient connections in demanding environments.

New product highlight: World premiere of the BCC-Evo Energy Storage Connector

At this year’s exhibition, Stäubli will introduce the new BCC-Evo energy storage connector.

Based on MULTILAM contact technology, the connector is designed to reduce temperature rise and support stable, long-term operation. Under comparable current conditions, it enables the use of thinner cables, thereby reducing the total cost of ownership.

The BCC-Evo also features touch protection and polarity-coding, enhancing installation safety and flexibility while supporting secure operation throughout the entire system lifecycle.

Automation Excellence: Robotics Solutions for PV Manufacturing

Stäubli Robotics will present advanced automation solutions tailored to key PV manufacturing processes.

For high-speed cell handling, the TS2‑40 SCARA robot enables throughput of up to 9,000 cells per hour in a dual-robot configuration, maintaining positioning accuracy within 0.1 mm to ensure consistent quality and high yield.

For precision applications, the TX2-90 six-axis robot supports high-speed handling of PECVD graphite boats. Combined with the JCS reducer and JCM drive system, it delivers high speed, rigidity and stable performance, even in complex, high-cycle production environments.

Certified Performance and Global Support

The full range of Stäubli TS2 and TX2 robots is certified to international standards, including UL and CE and complies with SIL 3–PL e safety standards, meeting the demands of continuous, high-performance PV manufacturing.

With a global network of local technical support and service teams, Stäubli provides long-term, on-site assistance across key industrial regions. This enables PV equipment manufacturers to scale their operations internationally, with market-specific support in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Live Stream of Technical Seminars

During the exhibition, Stäubli will collaborate with industry organizations and partners in the solar and energy storage sectors to host two specialized technical seminars on-site at SNEC, which will be simultaneously live-streamed via Stäubli’s official WeChat Video Channel.
