At disconnection, the gas shutoff is instantaneous, both on the refueling station side and on the vehicle side. No gas is vented into the environment.

• Self-alignment when the hose is pulled.
• Required disconnection force has been calculated to be enough to avoid any inappropriate disconnection and as little as possible to protect the distribution system, the fuel dispenser and the vehicle.

Operation is simple and easily carried out by personnel from the refuelling vehicle station. Reconnection is automatic and easy, even under pressure. Stäubli breakaways disconnect automatically when pulled.
