Robots for television and film broadcasting

Stäubli has developed a new robot family, Camerobot™, for use in the field of television and film broadcasting.  The Camerobot family of 6 axis robots used together with RTL's (Robotics Technology Leaders) ROBOKAM® robotic camera system provide smooth and precise movements of TV and film cameras with the ability to lock onto and follow faces or objects. The generated motions are on-air capable.

Camerobot RX160 model

RTL's ROBOKAM robotic camera systems may be used with robot arms of various sizes.  Camerobot's RX160 or RX170 robot families are best-suited for this application.  They provide the right combination of:
- payload capability,
- speed,
- reach,
- range of motion required.

If necessary, the robot can be combined with a pan / tilt unit, a linear track and or be mounted on a mobile platform.
