May 2011 – Stäubli Bayreuth (Germany) has officially inaugurated its new assembly hall on May 28, 2011. The new building dedicated to the Connectors division covers an area of 2200m² and contains an assembly line for robot tool changer systems (MPS), multi-coupling plates (MCS), components for Quick Mold Change systems, testing facilities as well as an automatic storage and dispatch area. The state-of-the art system allows the reliable and quick handling of orders from German customers and facilitates inventories.
The new hall was built according to the latest standards in terms of sustainability and ergonomics, lowering energy costs and ensuring smooth operations: photovoltaic rooftop-panels provide the necessary power and a geothermal pump is used for heating. Furthermore surface water is being collected and recycled.
