10 years of Stäubli Hangzhou

Manufacturing plant in China opens its doors for customers and partners

On October 23 Stäubli Hangzhou received customers and partners to celebrate its 10th anniversary with an open doors day. Stäubli (Hangzou) Mechatronics Co. Ltd. is the Chinese headquarters, production facility and a major training and customer service center covering a surface of 6600m2

Over 200 guests joined the celebrations and were warmly welcomed by Feng Guoming, leader of Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area, Joseph Palau, member of the Board of Directors and Rolf Strebel, CEO of the Stäubli Group. The three speakers paid tribute to the dynamic development of this facility and its bright perspectives for the future. In guided tours they visited the textile machinery, connectors and robotics divisions with their respective exhibition areas, assembly lines for dobby, Jacquard, harnesses, and electrical connectors.

As customer proximity is key to Stäubli, the importance and dynamic development of the Chinese market motivated the Group to establish its first Asian manufacturing plant in China in 1997when Stäubli (Hangzhou) Mechatronic Co. Ltd was created. The company headquarters of Stäubli in China are located in the economic and technological development zone of the city of Hangzhou in the Province of Zhejiang. Further sales and customer service representations are located in Beijing, Shanghai,Guangzhou, and Hong Kong.
